Beverton Grace Josephine 14-06-1907 to 13-03-2011 Grace died peacefully in her sleep in Totland Isle of Wight on Sunday morning. Grace was born on the Island and returned there after her retirement. She lived for many years with her brothers and sisters who cared for each other as they became older. She was the youngest of 9 and the last of her generation. Having reached 103 Grace thought it was time to 'take her ease' and entered Little Hayes Care Home in 2010. She was a wonderful "Lady", loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed by her friendship. Although she never married she felt all around her were her family. Grace taught for many years in Dover at St Martins School and as Deputy Head at Lydden Primary School. She Worshipped at Salem Baptist and joined the congregation at Colwell Baptist on her return to the Island. There is to be a Service of Remembrance and Committal at Colwell Baptist Church on Tuesday 22nd March at 2pm. The family have requested family flowers only and donations if desired to Christian Aid. Whilst praying with her friend on Saturday evening Grace said "I am ready to go to Heaven now, it's been a long time coming, too long, but I'm ready now".

Flowers and a candle a great combination to remind us of you. The candle as the light that you were in all of our lives and the light of the love of the Lord who shone in yours. The flowers in your garden that brought you such joy and the inspiration for so many of your paintings.

You were such a wonderful and joyous part of our lives an inspiration to us all guiding us and sharing with us the wonderful life you had, always thinking of us and not of yourself. We will miss you so much.

May you rest in peace and be happy to be reunited with your family who were waiting for you at the Heavenly Gates.

Goodbye my darling,

My wonderful Great Auntie Grace

My wonderfully bubbly, funny Great Aunt. I shall miss you. You always made me feel very special, like you did many other people. I shall always remember your special words "happy days" and "God Bless".

Rest in peace with your brothers and sisters. A wonderful, important family to me.
