June Benedict - some thoughts

When Kathy first introduced me to her mum and dad, June and Benny, we seemed to click immediately. I always felt that I'd been fortunate to gain an extra mum and dad when I got married. Benny died far too young. Now June can be with him again but we can thank her and appreciate her generosity of spirit to her family and friends. We shall miss her but we'll definitely never forget her. Indeed, it looks like she won't let us forget her!!! R.I.P. Paul Gough: former son-in-law

Dear Nanny

Nanny I will remember you for your beauty, intelligence and independence which we all admired and loved so much. I am as proud of you as you always have been of all of us. I am comforted now by thinking of you finally getting to be with Grandad again. Thank you for the lovely memories. Leah xx

We send our love across the miles...

Dear family:

Our visit with Aunt June last month in Tavistock was a gift that we will always treasure. We also fondly recall our time together in Plymouth in 2005, when my sister Diana accompanied us on our trip to the UK. Aunt June loved to walk as you all know, and we had a lovely day exploring the city together. I am sure Diana will recall this photo – with beautiful June looking more like our sister than our Aunt! We will continue to feel her presence in our lives. With love to the entire family. –Lisa Benedict Schalon, San Diego California USA

Dearest Nan,

Words could never convey quite how proud I have always been of you!

You inspired me with your elegance, your sense of style, your passion for learning, your never ending independence and enduring desire to travel and see new things.

I feel blessed to have known you, and to have been loved by you, and I am so very happy that my own children also had the opportunity to enjoy your company so frequently.

I'll miss you hugely and will always fondly remember the times we have shared.

Your loving Grandson, Dan :D xxx
